It was really nice seeing old faces and meeting new people! This was a special show for our cattery because this is the first show where "Gobsgobblins" kittens were shown!!! All three of our babies were well behaved and seemed to have fun :o)! <br /><br />"Gobsgobblins Dontcha Wish" did the best... Out of the four Sunday rings, he placed best of breed in 3 rings. He was called back for finals in all three rings, and he placed 3rd, 4th, and 6th Best Kitten In Show. And the one ring where he did not place best of breed, his sister "Arabesque" was the star and placed Best of Breed... she also got called back for a final and placed 5th Best Kitten In Show! At her first show.... and we only showed her one day! She was quite a little clown while she was waiting to be judged. In almost every ring she would put her paws on the cage front and then twist around until her head was completely upside down! She was breed by Teresa Rogers (who is a very nice person!). Thumb is a blue torbie and has the biggest ears and the longest whippiest tail I have ever seen! Her ears are so big that I am considering changing her name to "Stellaluna" after the little bat story. She is a totally joy! Last night we had a photographer come to our home to take pictures of all our cats.... and we couldn't get Thumb to stop posing! She wanted it to be her turn the whole time! :-)! We decided to show our stud "Hadakat Eyes Of Croix" in the January 10 Tica show, and we decided to take along our female kitten Scheherazade along. In cat shows there are 6 rings and each ring is its own "show". First a ring will judge each breed of cat, then it will call back it's top 10 cats/kittens of different breeds for the finals (finals are what really counts in the cat world). Croix placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in three rings. Pretty good... he made it to two finals and won 8th place in both! We haven't received the official report, but we think he Championed in his very first show! Scheherazade placed 1st (2x), 2nd, and 3rd! We were so happy! She was also called back to two finals.... drum roll please..... and won best kitten in show both rings!<br /><br /><br /><br />Our Next show is March 22 in Alabama.
